Pronomar is excited to announce a new collaboration with Cold Tex. Cold Tex was established in 1992 and has since grown to be a renowned player in the field of clothing and accessories for activities in cold stores. Their product range includes high quality brands, including their very own Cold Tex label: available as standard versions or entirely custom made. All of the clothing has optimized protection against the cold, compliant with all relevant EN standards for protective clothing.
Both companies are convinced that premium cold store clothing can benefit from an extra gentle drying, especially if you want to extensively increase its lifespan. In addition, working in harsh environments such as a cold store, where temperatures can drop to – 30 ˚C, can be tough for employees. Consequently, they appreciate it when their clothes are dry and warm, when starting their next shift.
“This is also the feedback that we get from the cold store of Parlevliet & van der Plas in IJmuiden (Netherlands). Because of the new F Gas Regulation, the temperature difference between indoor and outdoor increased, causing condensation on the clothes. Together with Pronomar we came up with a solution and now they have the drying systems on site. We have seen for ourselves that they do not only dry their jackets, trousers, boots and gloves on the systems, but even their socks!” says Arjo van Tuijl, Managing Director of Cold Tex.
Parlevliet & van der Plas is an international enterprise with more than 1.500 employees. The company was founded more than 60 years ago and has become a major player in the fishing and processing industry. Recently, they commissioned a plan for the renovation and construction of various cold stores in IJmuiden, where sustainability plays an important role. Therefore, the building was equipped with a variety of sustainable techniques. By outfitting the change room with new drying systems, Parlevliet & van der Plas created a healthier work environment for their crew.
