Pronomar are happy about our cooperation with GloMar, Ship management, located in Den Helder. GloMar decided on both of Pronomar’s by now well established products, the drying systems for all kinds of work wear, such as jackets, trousers, boots, shoes, gloves etc. but also the MERUS rings, a highly innovative, environment-friendly solution for green water treatment.

Both the drying systems as well as the MERUS rings were installed on-board the new multipurpose offshore supply vessel “TNB”, built for GloMar and a state-of-the-art standby rescue/oil recovery and survey vessel, travelling under Panamese flag.

Drying systems to cater for the crew’s work wear, survival suits, jackets, trousers as well as boot, gloves and even head gear, such as hoods, caps were installed. With the stainless steel Pronomar-TopTrock drying systems making sure the costly work wear is dried and properly maintained on a daily basis the crew can concentrate on their strenuous work out at sea which adds to an even higher motivation and comfort.

But it is not only the crew on-board the TNB that GloMar looked after, they also put high importance on the state of their technical, water-related equipment. For that they ordered the innovative Pronomar-MERUS rings to counteract scaling. The following rings were installed:

– 1 6” HCI Pronomar-Merus ring at the main seawater inlet
– 2 Pronomar-Merus rings for the box cooler – which provides cooling for the main engines
– 2 Pronomar-Merus for the cooling of the auxiliary engines
– 1 Pronomar-Merus ring for the cooling of the air-conditioning and, last but not least,
– 1 Pronomar-Merus ring for the hydrofoor for the water system

How do the rings work? After installation they give off tiny oscillations which disturb the lime scale. Afterwards the troublesome substances are simply flushed away leaving the equipment in question free from scaling or other harmful build-up. By keeping the pipes free from scaling you not only bring back the initial performance but you also extend their lifetime considerably. Last but not least the rings are maintenance-free which signifies quite a saving in time and operational costs.

Pronomar are proud that both their products doing their efficient job on-board the TNB and are confident that the crew can now their daily tasks without having to worry neither about how to get their work wear dry nor about the state of their equipment on-board.
