Pronomar are happy to have again been contacted by Scheepswerf Visser in Den Helder, this time for their innovative and highly efficient MERUS technology for green water treatment.

The MV Joline, a RoRo ferry is currently at their shipyard and in the process Mr. Joseph Quak from Visser has given the order to install Merus rings around several of their equipment:
One ¾” IND ring for the hydrofoor,
Two 1 ½” IND BIO rings for the coolwater engine as well as
One 2” IND BIO ring for the bunker feed pipe

The way the rings work is straight forward: they are easily installed at the equipment in question. They then give off tiny oscillations disturbing the lime scale, bacteria, algae etc.. Afterwards, the substances are flushed away leaving the pipes, heat exchanger as well as hydrofoor / boiler free from scaling and bringing them back to high performance levels. In consequence also the lifetime of the equipment is considerable prolonged.

Apart from the longer lifespan and the initial capacity of the equipment in question a big advantage of the Merus technology is that there is less service or maintenance required saving a lot of time and manpower as well as actual savings in operation costs.

Pronomar are pleased to have again been appointed by Scheepswerf Visser and look forward to continuing their successful cooperation.
