After equipping recently the MPS Bellriva with the environment-friendly MERUS rings, Pronomar is happy to have again been contacted by Albert Tiggelaar, Technical manager at River Cruise lines Nijmegen B.V. Reason was that also the Bellriva’s sister vessel, the MPS Normandie, should not be left unattended in terms of counteracting scaling on-board.
Thus Mr. Tiggelaar decided that

would be installed with the purpose to bringing back the initially experienced performance level but to also prolong the lifetime of the equipment in question, which means not only a decrease in operational but also maintenance costs. How do the MERUS rings do that? This is quite simple really, after the rings are installed, they give off tiny oscillations disturbing the lime scale, bacteria and/or maritime growth, such as barnacles etc. Afterwards the troublesome substances are simply flushed away leaving the respective pipes, boilers etc. free form any harmful build-up.
For Pronomar it is great to see that now also the MPS Normandie will cruise scale-free and trusts that both vessels will benefit hugely from their environment-friendly solution.
