Back in 2014, you’ve been informed that Pronomar equipped the cable laying vessel “NEXUS” with three established, efficient drying cabinets, each responsible for the drying of 8 sets of workwear. The NEXUS is a vessel by Van Oord, a family owned business and leading contractor for dredging, marine engineering and offshore energy projects (oil, gas, wind), headquartered in Rotterdam, The Netherlands.

Currently, the NEXUS is being finalized at Damen Shiprepair at Vlissingen/NL, where already the crew have made good use of the dryers. Due to the winter weather conditions in the Netherlands, the dryers come in handy for a rapid drying and warming of the crews jackets and boots. For an impression of the installed dryers, please find some photos below:

The cabinets (made of sheet steel, powder coated baked) with the fitted drying systems (completely made of seawater resistant stainless steel 316), guarantee a fast and efficient drying process of the work gear. Dry work- and footwear leads to optimized working conditions and results in a higher motivation among the working crew.

Pronomar looks forward to continuing the cooperation with Van Oord in the future.
